At Real Food Gifts the careful selection of the brands we support shows the people we’re gifting that we’ve really taken some time to think about our gifts.

Palm oil is so ubiquitous in our groceries that we often don’t even know it’s there! Baked goods are particularly sneaky with palm oil masquerading as harmless sounding ingredients like “vegetable oil”.

RFG is palm oil free because of the devastating impact the deforestation required by palm oil farming has on the environment, endangers species and by the ongoing human rights violations committed by palm oil production companies.

Brands you might find in this hamper:

Dench Artisan Bakery

Dench Bakery commits to quality ingredients, and a palm oil free range. The biscuits selected for this gift hamper are just perfect with a hot cuppa.

“Dench Bakers have been baking natural, artisan-style bread since 2005, when we started supplying the hospitality industry and public from our shop located in Fitzroy North. From our bakehouse in Abbotsford, we now supply many cafes, restaurants and independent grocers with quality handmade organic sourdough, specialty breads, pastries and cakes.”

The Vegan Dairy

The team at The Vegan Dairy believe in being kind to the planet through creating amazing plant-based foods, AND by reducing their environmental impact as much as they can. They use 100% home compostable vacuum seal bags, and 100% home compostable labels, for their cheeses. Once you are finished with your cheese you can put the empty bag with its labels still attached in your home compost bin or, if you don’t have compost, just dig it into any garden bed or area of soil you can find! If you have no soil around anywhere and your only option is to put the packaging into landfill then you can know that this 100% plant-based bag will break down in less than 12 weeks wherever it ends up.
